Patsy Kensit is a rare frock flick actor to have a successful career as a child first, including lots of historical costume movies and TV shows. As an adult, she sang in a chart-topping pop band Eighth Wonder in the ’80s, plus she’s starred in a couple U.K. soap operas, and outside of her work, she’s been married sequentially to four different musicians (including Liam Gallagher of Oasis). But we’re here for Kensit’s costume dramas not tabloid dramas, so here we go!

What’s your favorite of Patsy Kensit’s frock flick roles?

WOW! What A Pleasant Surprise! Never thought I Would See Patsy Here! I knew her for her Work on Soaps (Emmerdale, to which she is returning/Holby City/EastEnders), and her Attempt To mimic Rita Hayworth’s “Put the The Blame on Mame” on Beltenebros I believe, Oh And For Playing Mia Farrow on that Infamous Miniseries! 😅
Didn’t know she was in so many costume flicks!
But wasn’t she also on a Adaptation of Henry James’ “The Turn of The Screw”? Doesn’t it count?
Oh and Of Course would like to take the chance to ask for WCW with Jenny Seagrove! (aka Adult Diana in the 1984 Miniseries)
Also wanted to recommend a Beautiful Brazilian Period Telenovela Named “Essas Mulheres” (These Women) i have been watching lately, you could check it on YouTube on a channel named: “@AngelicaCRod” it’s full of shorts of it, if it tickles your interest I can help you find the Whole thing!
I second Jenny Seagrove! :)
Me for three, please and thank you!
She kind of looks like Kylie Minogue
I like the second outfit from Grace Of My Heart, very groovy!
Is The Pavilion a prequel to The Far Pavilions? Are they both part of the Pavilion Cinematic Universe…?
No.
I was confused by your description of “Penmarric” as WWII when the image is so clearly more like WWI or late Edwardian. Turns out the series covers six decades, from Victorian onwards, so possibly some mileage for you in hunting it down.
Try YT’s Dame Penmarric channel.
My favorite is, of course, “Angels & Insects”. I also liked her in the two George Eliot adaptations.
One thing I love about this blog is how it excavates past roles from an actor or actress’ career – the most I knew about Ms Kensit’s career was repeated viewing of LETHAL WEAPON II and now I find her to have been nigh ubiquitous in Period dramas at one point.
Fascinating!
Also, is it just me or does Ms Kensit bear a passing resemblance to Ms Alice Eve in some of these pictures?
