She went from bubbly teeny-bopper in the 1960s hit TV show Gidget to Oscar winner and has had a staying power in Hollywood that is legendary. Her repertoire spans genres, from romantic comedies to gripping social dramas, but what about her historical roles? Let’s take a look!

So, there you have it! Surprisingly not that many historical flicks for such a long career, but Sally Field has managed to pack a punch with the ones she does have! Which one is your favorite? Share it with us in the comments!

A Woman Of Independent means (1995) was pretty much the American answer to “A Woman Of Substance”, Sally Put on a brave face and portrayed the lead from her late teens to old age, her character was initially middle class at best then gets an inheritance and gets filthy rich but it affects her life in more ways than one, worth a watch even if only for the costumes!
Of her frock flicks, I’ve only seen Forrest Gump. I initially liked the movie, but it hasn’t aged the best.
