  1. I am waiting for Frankenstein with bated breath. Originally the casting of Jacob Elordi as the Creature made me pause but I’ve come around to it, especially since I know the whole film will be dripping with GDT’s beautiful gothic visuals.

  2. I was going to suggest Washington Black, but turns out it has already been released! Do you have any thoughts on the show?

  3. Deutch, who I think of as a likeable-in-the-right-role but not particularly deep actor, is very odd casting as Seberg to me. We’ll see, though! I’m definitely excited about Marty Supreme.

  4. Downton, of course. Bridgerton just for the masquerade costumes, Queen Charlotte, and Lady Danbury, and I had no idea Frankenstein was going to interest me, but Oscar Issac and Guillermo del Toro. Gotta see it.

  5. Downton and Bridgerton, though the latter is way too far away :(

I’m intrigued by Nuremberg, even with Russell Crowe as Goring. Could be interesting considering Rami Malek’s character, the psychiatrist Douglas Kelley, was a bit of a dark horse. Quite a stacked cast. Brian Cox played Goring in a bad TV movie about the trials and of course he was the best part!

  6. I took one look at the lovely Mia Goth at the head of this article and thought “That is a Look” (So it doesn’t entirely surprise me to learn Señor Del Toro is associated with such an exquisitely unusual aesthetic).

Also, my Inner Child is still giggling about Mia GOTH making a career in the horror genre, lo these many years later.

  7. Definitely excited for Frankenstein!

Who wants to bet that if Downton Abbey: Endgame (I assume the plot is that Thanos comes to visit and the Crawleys have to cater to his rants about overpopulation, and the new scullery maid loses one of the Infinity Stones down a drain) makes lots of money, it won’t be the end of the franchise? Be it a fourth movie, a new series (cf. Sex and the City), a reboot, a spinoff (cf. Bridgerton), etc., I suspect that we won’t see the last of Downton Abbey as long as it keeps pulling in the punters.
