  1. Regarding the costumes of Legacy (2022), someone who has done a review of it who has knowledge on 20th century Chinese fashion.

Generally if we are talking about historical acuracy in costumes, the women’s costumes in their tailoring and fabric choice are superb but there are places that are lacking such as the women’s hair .

    Here is the costume review:

  2. I love Oscar’s jaunty hexagon shades, they’re the perfect accessory for that outfit.

I don’t know if parodies count, but I just remembered that Blinkin wears a pair, in Robin Hood: Men in Tights. So do the Merry Men Rappers, but they’re purposely modern.

  3. I’m not going to lie, THE GILDED AGE (Season 3) ends on a real high note because it introduces us to Oscar the Scheming, who is of course the very most entertaining Oscar (Not least because there’s the rather delightful prospect of he and his new partner in ambition will just GALL the indomitable Mrs Russell).

It was deeply, deeply amusing to note that when he’s not being a Poor Soul young Mr Oscar looks so like a classic Matinee villain that next season New York City might either have to hire the RCMP to police dastardly rascals in top hat & shades or just lock up all innocent maidens named ‘Penelope’.

  4. I want Oscar’s sunglasses! They feel very steampunk to me and I bet that they would enhance my life (the world might be crumbling around me but my eyes would be cool AND protected!). Sunglasses are one of my favorite accessories next to earrings. I’d love if you kept the series going or did a best accessories version of it (I’m an accessory person). Hats, fans, brooches, parasols, everything fun.

Feel the love
