Today we have five more eye-conic eyewear looks to enjoy! Make sure to catch Part One too!
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)
Like, you honestly thought I wouldn’t include this absolutely seminal film from my early adulthood? How can we forget the amber tinted aviators?
The Gilded Age (2022-)
It’s a good binge-able show with pretty costumes. And occasionally, a really good pair of sunglasses! Love the hexagons!

The Affair of the Necklace (2001)
The one, the only, Natascha McElhone as Marie Antoinette, and she’s looking incredibly chic in a pair of round blue-tinted specs.
Legacy (2022)
I haven’t had a chance to dig up where to watch this miniseries, which takes place in 1930s China and focuses on three daughters who inherit their father’s business empire. The costumes look absolutely stunning.
Agent Carter (2015-16)
Much beloved by those of us who 1) love Peggy Carter, and 2) love the 1940s. Starring Hayley Atwell as the eponymous agent, this series follows her life post-WW2/Captain America as she is relegated to working as a secretary for the Strategic Scientific Reserve. And you better believe there’s some quality shades sported by Peggy throughout the series.
Should I keep going with this series? Let me know in the comments!

I thought that was Joely Richardson as Marie Antoinette? Correct me if i”m wrong. :)
It is Joely Richardson.
Thanks! :)
Regarding the costumes of Legacy (2022), someone who has done a review of it who has knowledge on 20th century Chinese fashion.
Generally if we are talking about historical acuracy in costumes, the women’s costumes in their tailoring and fabric choice are superb but there are places that are lacking such as the women’s hair .
Here is the costume review:

That screenshot from Legacy is perfection.
I love Oscar’s jaunty hexagon shades, they’re the perfect accessory for that outfit.
I don’t know if parodies count, but I just remembered that Blinkin wears a pair, in Robin Hood: Men in Tights. So do the Merry Men Rappers, but they’re purposely modern.
I’m not going to lie, THE GILDED AGE (Season 3) ends on a real high note because it introduces us to Oscar the Scheming, who is of course the very most entertaining Oscar (Not least because there’s the rather delightful prospect of he and his new partner in ambition will just GALL the indomitable Mrs Russell).
It was deeply, deeply amusing to note that when he’s not being a Poor Soul young Mr Oscar looks so like a classic Matinee villain that next season New York City might either have to hire the RCMP to police dastardly rascals in top hat & shades or just lock up all innocent maidens named ‘Penelope’.
I want Oscar’s sunglasses! They feel very steampunk to me and I bet that they would enhance my life (the world might be crumbling around me but my eyes would be cool AND protected!). Sunglasses are one of my favorite accessories next to earrings. I’d love if you kept the series going or did a best accessories version of it (I’m an accessory person). Hats, fans, brooches, parasols, everything fun.
