  1. Thank God this film had eye candy the way Cadburys has chocolate, because literally nothing about the description of this film’s plot appealed to me (Except that poor Princess Sophie narrowly manages to avoid becoming a ‘beard’ – and subbed in for her own sister at that).

I say that even as somebody who enjoys a spot of Wagner from time to time, used recreationally (The music, not the man and his attitudes).

  2. Also, I remain deeply, deeply amused that Ms. Don’t Schneider played both Empress Elizabeth and Queen Victoria: honestly, I’m quite sure no two Princess of the blood could be more different (If nothing else, the late Queen Vic seems to have had more than a bit of the Dowager Countess of Grantham in her, going by her diaries & letters).

  3. Incidentally Linderhof and most importantly the theatrical grotto just reopened to the public today, after a whopping 60 mill (€) restoration – and I have questions. Be that as it may, wannabe-Kini Markus couldn’t be kept from cutting the band in half…

Feel the love
