Lee Pace is gorgeous. He’s tall. He’s athletic. He made The Hobbit trilogy imminently watchable as Thranduil, the Elevenking.
But what has he done historically-speaking? Let’s check it out!
The White Countess (2005)
Infamous (2006)
The Fall (2006)
The Good Shepherd (2006)
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (2008)
A Single Man (2009)
Lincoln (2012)
Driven (2018)
What’s your favorite Lee Pace character? Tell us in the comments!
He is able to be regal and warm/approachable, not necessarily at the same time, but as appropriate for the role.
I’ll be in my bunk…….
Outside the realm of Frockflicks but he is great in the series Halt and Catch Fire about the creation of the home computer
Second this! Such a beautiful period piece about modernity (more modern modernity)–and with such amazing character development, attention to costume and settings!
Fell in love with him on Pushing Daisies, and always enjoy him.
BTW the title of the Capote book was “In Cold Blood,” not “In True Bliod.”
He is so good in Lincoln – that whole cast was something else, but I remember his performance as chilling.
I loved Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day! Lee was so cute!
I fell IN LOVE with him in Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, which is how I was introduced to him. His role in that movie is my fave of his Frock Flick roles. He is SO DREAMY and an excellent actor, to boot! And those GIFs…..I’m swooning!!!! Great MCM choice!
Same for me! I love him. I heard that Amy Adams had him banned from the set when she was in a scene without him, because she couldn’t keep her eyes off him. It’s hilarious that she was so up front about it. Don’t know if it’s true, except that I would have had the same problem.
In the Hobbit and the Fall clips I see his emperor in Foundation. He really does OTT well. I’ve seen many of the other movies, but never noticed him. He’s a real chameleon.
