    1. Thanks for sharing. It was an interesting and informative presentation. More fun that your post introduced me to more historical fashion and history.

  1. Submitted a correction to the New York Times a week ago for calling an Edwardian-inspired dress Victorian. Maybe the pettiest/nerdiest thing I’ve ever done, but it felt good! So irritating to see a distinctly Edwardian inspired dress called Victorian (which, considering the range of silhouettes and styles encapsulated by the Victorian period, feels a little lazy in itself for a fashion column).

    1. Margo Robbie (upcoming Wuthering Heights). Dakota Johnson (Persuasion 2022- yuck!), Florence Pugh (Little Women 2019).

  2. I love Karolina Too! We should have a convention of all of us Frock Flick aficionados, with Historic Costume panels, Movie Costume displays, movies, and costume contests! <3

  3. Reality bashers for me are “Jeeves and Wooster,” “Blackadder,” and “The West Wing.”

  4. Perusing the POV on Flock Flicks to discover Trystan’s discussion of the #Metoo movement and the involvement of Woody, Weinstein, and Polansky. This was published in 2017 and I found it very interesting until I realized that Weinstein, while he has been punished to a point, is still in court today fighting the charges of rape. One would think that by this time he would be done and gone, but, no, His accuser ran out of court last week after Weinstein’s lawyer abused her on the stand. Justice should really work faster and better than this. Let’s hope Weinstein returns to jail soon.

Feel the love
